Privacy Policy for PastorOS
Effective Date: May 18, 2026
PastorOS respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information stored within the app.
Information Collection
PastorOS is designed as a local first application. Most information entered into the app, including but not limited to member records, visitation notes, follow up information, prayer requests, sermons, ministry data, self care notes, and calendar information, is stored locally on the user’s device.
PastorOS does not sell personal data and does not use third party advertising networks or analytics tracking services.
AI Assistant Features
PastorOS optionally allows users to connect their own third party AI provider using a personal API key supplied by the user.
When a user intentionally uses AI Assistant features, information the user chooses to submit may be transmitted directly to the selected AI provider for processing. This may include text, notes, prompts, ministry content, or other information voluntarily entered by the user.
PastorOS does not automatically send user data to AI providers. AI requests occur only after the user intentionally interacts with AI features and grants consent within the app.
PastorOS does not provide the AI service directly and does not control how third party AI providers process, store, or use submitted information. Users are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies and terms of the AI providers they choose to connect.
Users should avoid submitting sensitive personal, medical, financial, or confidential information through AI Assistant features unless they are comfortable sharing that information with their selected AI provider.
API keys entered into PastorOS are stored locally on the user’s device and may be removed by the user at any time.
Local Data Storage
All standard app data is stored directly on the user’s device unless the user manually exports, backs up, or shares information.
If a user exports a backup file, it is stored only in the location selected by the user, such as the Files app, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or another storage provider chosen by the user.
PastorOS does not automatically upload or synchronize user data to external servers at this time.
Notifications
PastorOS may request permission to send local notifications for reminders related to ministry responsibilities, follow ups, visitation schedules, prayer reminders, self care reminders, or backup reminders.
Notification scheduling occurs locally on the user’s device.
Account Information and Deletion
If account creation features are enabled, users may request or initiate permanent account deletion directly within the app.
Deleting an account permanently removes associated account information and cannot be undone.
Data Security
PastorOS is designed to minimize unnecessary data exposure by prioritizing local device storage. While reasonable safeguards are implemented, users remain responsible for securing their own devices, backups, exported files, and connected third party accounts.
Third Party Services
PastorOS does not use third party advertising services or analytics platforms that collect personal information.
Optional third party AI providers connected by the user operate independently and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
If future versions of PastorOS introduce cloud synchronization, shared collaboration features, or additional external integrations, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
Children’s Privacy
PastorOS is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect application updates, feature additions, operational changes, or legal requirements. Continued use of PastorOS after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
